Also known as hazelnuts, fibert nuts are one of the especially nutritious kinds of nuts that provide complete protein, with all the essential amino acids, which is necessary for production of energy, for burning fats, and for hormone production , as well as helping against anemia, flabby muscles, water retention, brittle hair and nails, and low blood sugar and low blood pressure. Filberts are also rich in calcium, beneficial to nerves, bones, and teeth; in phosphorus, also beneficial to sound bones and teeth; in potassium, an aid to muscular reactions and necessary for converting sugar to energy; in B-1, beneficial to circulation and to heart muscles; in niacin, helpful against some forms of depression and irritability and an aid in some cases of alcoholism; in linoleic acid, necessary for growth, for maintaining proper weight, for production of energy, and for nurturing intestinal bacteria which produce B vitamins; and in magnesium, an aid in lowering blood cholesterol, in utilization of fats and carbohydrate ,and in prevention of heart attacks.
