Chives herb are often used in salads, for garnishes, and in small amounts as a flavoring agent. They are an outstanding source of vitamin C and are rich in sulphur, iron, and vitamins A, B-1 and B-2. Chives are rarely eaten in large amounts, however, so they add more spice than nutrition to a meal.
